Po’Boy

On my recent trip to New Orleans, I had the opportunity to try an amazing Louisiana spin on a traditional sandwich: Po’boys. Po' boys are essentially a sandwich originating from New Orleans that usually contain some sort of meat or seafood. The bread is also unique in that it is made locally and crafted with a different ratio of flour to water than traditional bread giving it a fluffier texture. The Po’boys come dressed with mayo, pickles, tomato, and lettuce. I choose to go with the barbecue shrimp Po’boy which was absolutely incredible. New Orleans's proximity to various water bodies blesses it with access to fresh seafood daily. So if you are ever in New Orleans (or the deep south in general as these sandwiches can be found from Houston all the way to the Florida panhandle), I highly recommend checking out a seafood Po’boy.
